Today, I’ll be chairing a panel of judges- leading journalists and bloggers from across and independent of the political spectrum (I’ll leave it to them to identify themselves)- who will decide on the Orange Digital Campaign Awards which will be announced soon. I’m told there will be some outrageous outfits on the red carpet on the night. But today is the nitty-gritty- agreeing to the winners without bread rolls flying across the table.
This is in advance of my report for Orange of the digital campaign which they will be publishing in early June. Some of my thoughts were previewed at the Personal Democracy Forum last week. Here are Nick Anstead’s reflections on that event.
The awards (though subject to change) will be:
- Best use of digital campaigning by a Political Party
- Best use of digital campaigning by a Candidate
- Best non-party digital initiatives
- Funniest use of digital campaigning
- Worst example of digital campaigning
If you have any suggestions pop them in the comments below.

I may be wrong, but I think that PDF link above should go to the RSA, not a US site.
